Day #9 of The Captive Imposter Blog Tour

NEW REVIEWS FOR THE CAPTIVE IMPOSTER!

The Captive Imposter is perfect for readers who love a historical set in the late 1800s and who love a strong romance with a thread of mystery. This is first and foremost a romance— and one well worth reading.”
Cara Putman, author of Shadowed by Grace

“Crandall crafts an endearing story with characters you become attached to, making it hard to place the novel down. She also proves, once again, why her books often make the Most Sigh-Worthy Kisses lists.”
Susan Tuttle, Steps in the Abundant Life

“Estella was not a character that stood out to me from the previous novels in the series...and that’s exactly why I was drawn in to her story. The author did this in The Bound Heart as well. She took a character that we are introduced to before but don’t know much about and lets us into their world...all of their fears, insecurities, hopes and dreams. So because I didn’t know much about Estella, I wanted to know why she acted the way she did, how she felt about things that happened in the previous novels, and I was completely drawn in from the beginning.”
Stacey Daniel, The Great Adventure

“I appreciated how Crandall depicted her heroine’s personal introspection and faith, but more importantly, I liked how she managed to do this without losing Estella’s voice. It’s the same approach, but Estella, Meredyth and Amaryllis are three very different women and I was impressed by Crandall’s ability to retain a sense of individuality throughout each of the books.

    1. You are definitely missing out with not having read Jody Hedlund yet. Her books are always worth buying if you can. I would have kept mine, but I just don't have enough room to keep all of my books now that I have a baby... and a kindle. :)

    1. Now that you've heard of her, you should definitely look her books up! None of her earlier books are really connected and be read in any order. I'm not sure about her latest one--I have it, but I haven't read it yet.

  4. You guys NEED to read Jody Hedlund...great books. I was looking forward to Undeniably yours, but I think that's gone. The next one would be the Elizabeth Camden reads. I have and love all of Jen Turano, and I really wanted to try Dani Pettrey.

  8. You've got some awesome choices! If I really had to choose... maybe Barefoot Summer by Denise Hunter since that one is on my need-to-own list. I'd love to purchase your series in paperback. Is that going to be an option in the future?

    1. I would LOVE to have The Everstone Chronicles in paperback too!!--probably more than anyone else! We'll all have to wait and see what happens about that. It's not up to me, but my publisher. They usually print in paperback--I'm the first author they've tried this with. I think it had a lot to do with the fact I had most of the series written when I signed the contract--which would be the only way an author would be able to release books so close together. (Without going insane and completely checking out from their life and family).
