A Review of The Captive Imposter
“With a
well-paced plot and true-to-life characters, The Captive Imposter was difficult
to put down. It was a perfect blend of drama, mystery, and romance spiced with
just the right touch of twists and surprises. A strong Christian message was a
natural and integral part of the story without being in-your-face. I liked the
glimpse of a possibly more mature and reformed Vance near the end that makes me
wish for another novel featuring him as a main character.”
~ Pam, Daysong Reflections
“Dawn Crandall’s writing style is fascinating! Written in first person, there is a quality about it like I’m reading in tunnel vision- I know there’s more going on peripherally but I can only see what is being experienced by the main character, Estella. The story unfolds in layers and the different aspects of the plot are revealed strategically. ”

A Review of The Bound Heart
“Meredyth’s story (was) dramatic and historically appealing.
Her situation posed a lot of interesting insight to the social order of
the day and highlighted the disparity in consequence suffered by men
and women who defied those dictates.”

DeleteThanks for the giveaway, Dawn! I haven't read her books yet, but I've been wanting to! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all really good! My favorite one so far (I haven't read the last two yet) is Shattered--which happens to be the 2014 winner of the same award that The Hesitant Heiress won this year! :D
DeleteI would so love to read these three books! On my bucket list is a visit to Alaska.
ReplyDeleteDani does a stupendous job of taking her readers there! :)

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Jennifer! I have Silenced (#4) on my kindle, but I haven't read it yet. I think it might be my new favorite because it's about two of the characters who I am dying to see get together! :)

DeleteYou and Beth have both talked about how much you love these. I have the 4th book I believe. It would be nice to round out my collection. :)

ReplyDeleteI do think Dani Pettrey must have young spirit, her prose is very fresh.
She MUST--and she looks so young too! She's gorgeous in photos AND in person! :) And thank you for your appreciation! I know when I think of how much all of these books would cost, even used--it would be a lot! But it's worth it to me.
