ENCHANTING NICHOLETTE: Cover Real Time + GIVEAWAY!

My newest novella, Enchanting Nicholette, is a historical romance written from First Person Point of View, like all of my other books. It is part of The Everstone Chronicles Series, but is also a stand-alone story. And not really that short, compared to most novellas... it's sitting pretty at 50,000 words, so it's more like a shorter novel. :)

It hits bookstores October 9, 2018!

And not only do I have the cover for you here, but so much more!

If you simply cannot wait to read my long awaited offering to the published book world, there is a way you can read it EARLY.

Like, on June 19th

(which also happens to be my husband's birthday!)

And for practically FREE.

Well, almost free.

For 99 cents... but for those 99 cents, you also get six other novellas by some author friends of mine! And it sort of feels like we're giving them away, because not a single one of us is actually getting paid, but instead we're donating the proceeds to charity.

If you want to know more about the different novellas and their authors right now, click here

And here, if you want to add it to GoodReads?

If you want to pre-order this fabulous collection of novellas by well-established and award-winning authors, click here.

If you want a chance to win a $30 Amazon Gift Card AND the full set of The Everstone Chronicles in paperback... keep scrolling down.

And if you want to see the full version of The Everstone Chronicles/Whitaker House cover of Enchanting Nicholette....

keep scrolling...

I promise, it's worth it!

And... here it is! (squeal!)

What do you think?

Personally, I LOVE IT.

And if you want to PRE-ORDER this lovely, darling book just so you can have this fabulous cover on your bookshelf to grab and re-read anytime you feel like swooning and sighing... or your kindle... because it will look great there too... click here!

I know October is a million years away... oh, how I know. But you can at least add it to your reading list on GoodReads until you're able to have that baby in your hands.

The blurb

Young, widowed, and newly out of mourning, Nicholette Everstone is an heiress yearning to know true love. She’d been fortunate her parents had arranged for her to marry her loving late husband, but the marriage ended tragically on her wedding day. Bereft and alone, she returns home to Boston after being away for two years, to find there’s someone new to her set of friends and family she can’t help but fall for. But when she learns of the danger and sacrifices this man takes on for the safety of others, will her heart be strong enough to keep her fears of “what if” at bay?

Timeless Love Covers to Reveal Soon!

The Timeless Love novella collection will be up for pre-order this week! It's seven good length novellas (mine is 50K words/90K is regular book length) from some pretty awesome authors--and it's only 99CENTS! All royalties from the sale of the novella collection will be donated straight to LiveStrong.

Enchanting Nicholette, the novella I've included in this collection is technically part of The Everstone Chronicles Series, but also completely readable as a stand-alone. The collection will only be available as an ebook, and only as a collection until the beginning of July. It will then be unavailable to purchase and the individual novellas will then be released separately.

And guess what? All of the covers for the individual novellas have been completed, and they pretty much all look GORGEOUS. So, you want a sneak peak, right? Well, here you go!

Never heard of some of the authors? Some are indie published (very well-done self-published), some are traditionally published (publisher contracted) and some have done both! We made this collection to be a bit of a sampler of our styles and so readers could get to know a few more authors!

Click on their names below to learn more about my fellow authors!

Watch out for more sneak peaks and for more info about each of the novellas in the next few days, and then the full covers on Wednesday!

5 Inspirational Book Series You Can't Put Down

Today I’d like to introduce guest blogger, Varina Denman.

Varina writes stories about the unique struggles women face. Her award-winning Mended Hearts series, which revolves around church hurt, is a compelling blend of women’s fiction and inspirational romance. A native Texan, Varina lives near Fort Worth with her husband and five mostly grown children. Connect with Varina on her website or one of the social media hangouts.

Welcome, Varina!

Dawn, thank you for hosting me on your blog today. It’s summertime, and we’ve all got extra time on our hands. My holiday break is swiftly getting filled with events, camps, and projects, but I still have plenty of time by the pool doing what I love best ... reading! I’ve put together a list of books to recommend to friends, specifically Christian book series that have been described as "can't-put-it-down." That's what we all LOVE to read, especially during the lazy summer months. I hope your blog readers find a new series on the list, and I hope they pour themselves a tall glass of iced tea, and sit down and relax. Happy reading, girlfriends! (Don't forget the suntan lotion)

Jan Karon’s Mitford Series.

http://www.mitfordbooks.com/?page_id=61
A little about At Home In Mitford: It’s easy to feel at home in Mitford. In these high, green hills, the air is pure, the village is charming, and the people are generally lovable.
Yet, Father Tim, the bachelor rector, wants something more. Enter a dog the size of a sofa who moves in and won’t go away. Add an attractive neighbor who begins wearing a path through the hedge. Now stir in a lovable but unloved boy, a mystifying jewel theft, and a secret that’s sixty years old.
Suddenly, Father Tim gets more than he bargained for. And readers get a rich comedy in which mysteries and miracles abound.

Dawn Crandall’s The Everstone Chronicles.

http://dawncrandall.blogspot.com/p/what-i-write.html

A little about The Hesitant Heiress: After being unjustly expelled from the Boston Conservatory of Music, Amaryllis Brigham sees her dreams of founding a music academy in her hometown of Seattle, Washington, disappearing before her very eyes. Now, the only way to achieve her goal comes with high stakes for someone set on avoiding men as much as possible: Marry within the year to inherit the immense fortune of her estranged grandmother. Amaryllis reluctantly moves in to her aunt's Boston home and rubs shoulders with fashionable society. Despite her own misgivings, she soon finds herself quickly falling in love with the most unlikely of men--Nathan Everstone, the envy of every eligible female, whose father has haunted her dreams for the decade following her mother's tragic death. However, Nathan turns out to be much more than he seems...and everything she never knew she wanted. But just as everything Amaryllis has recently hoped for comes to fruition, it all falls apart when she finds that the real culprit who has been managing her life isn't who she thought at all.

Katie Ganshert’s The Gifting Series.

http://katieganshert.com/books/young-adult/

A little about The Gifting: In a world where nothing supernatural exists, Tess Eckhart is positive she’s going crazy. What other explanation is there for the things she sees? After her complete freakout at a high school party, her parents worry she might be right. So much that they pack their bags and move across the country, next to a nationally-renowned facility for the mentally ill.
Despite the whispers and stares, Tess is determined to fit in at her new school. But when it comes to Luka Williams, a reluctantly popular boy in her class, she’s unused to a stare that intense. Then the headaches start, and the seemingly prophetic dreams that haunt her at night. As Tess tries harder to hide them, she becomes increasingly convinced that Luka knows something—that he might somehow be responsible.
But what if she’s wrong? What if Luka Williams is the only thing separating her from a madness too terrifying to fathom?

Melanie Dickerson’s Hagenheim Fairy Tale Romance Series.

http://melaniedickerson.com/books.html
A little about The Healer’s Apprentice: Two Hearts. One Hope. Rose has been appointed as a healer’s apprentice at Hagenheim Castle, a rare opportunity for a woodcutter’s daughter like her. While she often feels uneasy at the sight of blood, Rose is determined to prove herself capable. Failure will mean returning home to marry the aging bachelor her mother has chosen for her—a bloated, disgusting merchant who makes Rose feel ill. When Lord Hamlin, the future duke, is injured, it is Rose who must tend to him. As she works to heal his wound, she begins to understand emotions she’s never felt before and wonders if he feels the same. But falling in love is forbidden, as Lord Hamlin is betrothed to a mysterious young woman in hiding. As Rose’s life spins toward confusion, she must take the first steps on a journey to discover her own destiny.

Varina Denman’s Mended Hearts Series.

http://varinadenman.com/books
A little about Jaded: As a child, Ruthie was shunned by the local congregation. Now, thirteen years later, Ruthie’s heart begins to stir when an attractive single preacher arrives. But their relationship is bitterly opposed, and a string of secrets are unearthed that threaten to turn the church, the town, and her world upside down.
Jaded is the rare novel that is a love story between both a woman and a man … and God and His church. Plunging deep into the waters of shame, forgiveness, and restoration, this book will resonate with every woman who’s experienced a loss of heart … and a thirst for hope.

My First Barnes & Noble Book Signing is Soon!

I talked to the PR person from a local Barnes & Noble yesterday and everyhing is set! The book signing for the first three of my books--The Hesitant Heiress, The Bound Heart and The Captive Imposter--is in a little over a week! It's still sort of surreal to be signing books at the very B&N I used to work at 14 years ago!

❤️📖❤️📖❤️📖❤️📖❤️

Talk about a dream come true! And, of course, I'll be almost 8 months pregnant too! I waited longer to get pregnant (with my first, three years ago) than I did to find a publisher for my novels! For the few years I spent writing THH, TBH and the first half of TCI (2010-2013) before I received my three book contract for them, I'd given up on having children.... but then there I was, so surprisingly six months pregnant with my first born while signing the contract! Which yes, made things a little more complicated than they were when I was simply a stay-at-home-writer!

And just in case you're wondering, there will be another book signing at the other Barnes & Noble in the fall when The Cautious Maiden releases in paperback/ebook on October 4, 2016!

Book Contracts and Bookstores!

I have some great news! I signed a brand new book contract with Whitaker House! It will continue on with some of the characters readers have met in The Everstone Chronicles series, but will technically be the start of a brand new series! The title is The Cautious Maiden, and it's about Vance Everstone and Violet Hawthorne! Here is the link to the GoodReads listing --> https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27874379-the-cautious-maiden ❤️

I also made it out to Barnes & Noble to check out the two of my three books that are in select stores! Not every store carries every book that's available, but if you're looking for print versions of The Everstone Chronicles you can call them and have them order the books into the store in case they don't have them! The Captive Imposter should be available to B&N very soon! It seems they are always about a month behind on getting my books.

Also, if you'd like to order signed paperback copies of my books, I'm working on making a PayPal option on this blog. The books will be around $17 each, which includes tax and shipping! If you buy the three-book set, it will cost $45 total, including tax and shipping. ❤️

And don't forget to enter the giveaway going on right now for a print signed copy of The Captive Imposter! --> a Rafflecopter giveaway

Oh, and I'm going to have another baby in 2016! Can't let another book release without throwing that into the mix!

Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️
